Günter Steinhart, born in Augsburg, became world known thanks to his watch. Engineer, currently a watchmaker, who has gained customers from all around the world thanks to his passion for watch making. For Günter Steinhart, the ticktack of his watch is the best sound. In an exhibition room of his company, he exhibits more than 30 different models, each of them with a story that connects it with Mr. Steinhart, a passionate watchmaker. Steinhart has founded his company in 2001. His exclusive watches are sold not only in Europe, but also in Asia, and even in Philippines. „I have always been fascinated by mechanical engineering and design of watches", says 58 year old watchmaker, with a sparkle in his eyes. However, career of Mr. Steinhart started quite differently. As graduated engineer, he worked several years as an architect inAugsburg. In the end, his passion for watches won. „I have always been irritated by expensive watches and bracelets. So i thought: It has to be possible to make good quality watches for a good price". The beginning of real success of Günter Steinhart was connected with relating to people. Steinhart made contacts truly everywhere, in bars, Swiss villages and through the phone. „Many things happen by coincidence," says Steinhart, to whom his passion for watches has opened many doors. Even today is Günter Steinhart successful in his business, as he constantly develops new ideas about his watches. It takes about a year from the initial drawing to a complete model. „Each watch has its own story. I gave them my heart and soul, so you can say, all those watches are like my children.". Günter Steinhart designs watches with his own style and that distinguishes him from competitors. „I do not ask myself, if the model will be successful. I only do, what I really want." By that he marked his position in his field. He is not interested in other watchmakers, as for more than 10 years, his main domain is sale through internet. This, naturally, brings new risks. „When you are making a business with watches, you need to be honest.
