This is a special 6 layer application of Superluminova applied over a chemical coated white base, causing an incredibly bright luminescent light charge.
MDV hands and dials are extremely visible in all light conditions.
Dials for first LÜM-TEC collection have taken 9 months to get right. Manufacturer used a custom made SuperLuminova compound from switzerland's finest luminous manufacturer, RCtritec.
The method of application requires LÜM-TEC dials to be printed first with a titanium dioxide base coat, and six layers of custom made grade A SuperLuminova.
To give you an idea, manufacturer have built over 2000 dials for the M and B series before he got them as bright as he wanted. Alot of scrap and wasted material but manufacturer do not want anything but the best available. So it is custom made. Not the same as you find on other watches.
Here is an example. The top dial is standard "C3" from RCtritec. Their brightest standard compound. The bottom from the left is the Combat B1, M1 and right is the orange M3 dial which glow even with the orange color about the same as the standard C3 dial.
